Matthew Desmond, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of “Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City” will be in Minneapolis on October 21 to discuss his research.
Leading up to the event, join us for an online discussion about how eviction, housing affordability and poverty impact our community. We will hear from Twin Cities renters who have experienced eviction and homelessness firsthand, and policymakers and community leaders who are working to advocate for renters and increase access to safe, affordable homes.
Read along with us, add your voice in the comments section of each post. The event on October 21 for Matthew Desmond’s discussion is presented by Minnesota Housing Partnership and Alliance Housing Inc. and sponsored by Aeon and Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. The event is currently sold out.
